Summer is one of our busiest periods for school roofing projects, as many educational settings take advantage of the holidays to carry out essential maintenance and upgrades. With schools closed for the summer break, it provides an ideal window for completing significant roofing works without disrupting students and staff.
Blending Traditional Aesthetics with a Challenging Curved Roof Design
A prime example of our work during this season is the re-roofing project completed at Mayfield C of E Primary School. This project involved a full roof replacement, using nibbed plain tiles in Sussex Brown to maintain the traditional aesthetic of the building. A standout feature of this project was the west-facing elevation, which was enhanced with new Double Shoulder Club feature tiles, specially supplied by Tudor Roof Tile Co. Ltd.
One of the more technically challenging aspects of the project was the curved roof, which demanded an exceptional level of precision and foresight. Our team dedicated substantial time to planning and execution to ensure the smooth, seamless transition of tiles from one elevation, through the curve, and onto the adjoining side. This meticulous attention to detail was key to achieving a visually flawless and structurally sound finish.
