I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for the progress that has been made on our school’s roof.
The men on site are working away stealthily, and so far, no disruptions to our school activities!

First of all it’s great news from the infant school point of view that the work is near completion and for the scaffolding to be moved before schools return is a real bonus. Leaving the job appraisal to your expertise I like to pass on my gratitude to the guys at the pit face. Who through quite extreme weather conditions over the past couple weeks has enabled the completion to be done ahead of schedule, I do appreciate the wider logistical organisation that has supported them but someone has to get up there and nail the tiles to the roof in weather that would have melted most mortals.

I would like to add, the guys yesterday pulled out the equipment from under the scaffolding and swept throughout and have left the place immaculate, which is a real bonus for me when the scaffolding is removed. I am sure it’s part of the contract but never the less it good to see that it gets done!! Please pass on my appreciation to the organisation in your project review.

Thank you for providing such a wonderful way to pass a Midsummer’s evening. While I came to visit the garden at West Dean the roof project is truly impressive. I would never have imagined the feat of engineering and craftsmanship in what was the not the easiest of times. It is a real triumph for all involved.

Clarke Roofing is the best contractor I have worked with, I qualified as a building surveyor in 1982. Their works standard is outstanding, and attention to customer satisfaction is fantastic. The health and safety along with the site set up was second to none. The people on site were respectful to the residents of the building and they kept the site clean and tidy. We dealt with the Site Foreman, Contracts Manager and QS on a regular basis. Their knowledge of what was required to all associated regulations was exceptional. Any contact with the office everyone was polite and respectful, what they said they would do happened. I was impressed with their urgency to do the job right first time.
