Clarke Roofing was founded over 70 years ago by Frank Clarke senior, and Frank started working for his father as a teenager out on site. Having spent nearly 50 years in the industry Frank has now taken a back seat from the day-today running of the business.
Frank and the team have spent many years planning for succession, and Frank is still supporting the team, having handed over to his sons, Lloyd and Josh - the third generation and the existing team to carry the company forward for many years to come. Frank will continue to work with Architects, Surveyors and many others advising on technical issues and specifications.
Frank is a committee member of the London & Southern Counties region of the NFRC and sits on the craft committee of the Worshipful Company of Tyler’s & Bricklayer’s where he was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2015.
When not working Frank enjoys family time especially with his six grandchildren, traveling and sport – like many in the office Frank has been a lifetime supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.
There have been two important roles that Frank enjoys, namely getting young people to train to achieve their qualifications both on site and in the office and helping in the company’s social value policy where Clarkes help the local community and as well as their dedicated charity - St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne.
