Eastbourne Crematorium

The existing flat roof areas had failed and were in urgent need of replacement.

Eastbourne Crematorium is in constant use on weekdays. Our client requested a solution using a Westwood Liquid Technologies Limited’s liquid application.

The works required the existing roof to be:

• completely stripped back to decking
• application of polyurethane liquid system
• application of polyurethane liquid system
• renewal of lead flashings
• removal and reinstatement of parapet copings over a new lead tray.

Due to the busy use of the building works had to be carried out at weekends only. The new system installed provided a 20-year guarantee.

Restricted work times meant we had to liaise closely with Eastbourne Borough Council and all stakeholders to ensure that the works were completed with no disruption to services. Particular attention was paid to the environment in which we were working to ensure consideration was given to the building users at all times.
