Green Roofs

A green roof system is an extension of the existing roof which involves a high-quality water proofing and root repellent system, a drainage system, filter cloth, a lightweight growing medium and plants.

Approved Green Roof installers for a number of manufacturers

We install a variety of green and blue roofs – including the two most common type of green roof – intensive and extensive. Both these systems can be used for both domestic and commercial properties.

Intensive

‘living roofs’ consisting of perennial plants, trees and paths. These roofs set stringent requirements for the structure of the roof covering and the roof growth. The minimum weight of 300 kg/m2 and a minimum building height of 20cm mean that this type of green roof can be used only if this has been taken into account at the design stage. Intensive plantation systems will require a higher level of maintenance.

Extensive

Extensive green roof systems are ideal for improving air and water quality as well as lowering carbon emissions and airborne particulates. They are light weight and require little maintenance.

We are approved Green Roof installers for a number of manufacturers so please get in touch so we can discuss your individual needs.
